Notes
1.Some common pests you would see in a successive garden are aphids, cabbage worms, flea beetles and cucumber beetles. To prevent all these critters attacking your garden, try using organic methods to get rid of them. Spraying diluted, natural soap kills the pests, using mechanical traps, building barriers and using insect vacuums are all alternative ways.
2.When you put food sources for insects in your garden, it helps deter them from the garden crop that you want to harvest. The plants planted in this garden help benefit the insects like bees. Bees love lavender, sunflowers and zinnias. I also added other types of wildflower throughout my garden, so the bees will have plenty of food sources. In addition, I put beehives in my garden, so the bees have a home and can make honey as well.
3.In the fruit garden, the pests that attack apples trees are aphids. To get rid of aphids, spray the leaves with a mild solution of water and dishwashing detergent. Blueberry leaf beetles attack blueberry plants, and treat them the same way you would treat aphids. Strawberry plants usually get invaded with spider mites. To treat them, spraying them is the most effective way, but you should use a solid stream of water and spray the webs and underside of leaves to drown any mites there. Cucumber beetles are well-known for doing damage in gardens. To keep them away from cantaloupes, use the yellow sticky traps to catch them.
4.In garden number 4, soybeans are planted to help symbiotic nitrogen fixation. Symbiotic nitrogen fixation is when plants have nitrogen fixing bacteria in their tissues. Mustard and marigolds are planted around the radishes and potatoes because they are trapping crops, which means they deter other critters from wanting to eat the crops.
Summary
To have a successful garden, some research and knowledge would be useful. Having successive, beneficial, companion and fruit gardens all separated is an effective way to set up the gardens. Success
